STEP 2. Press any key when computer displays boot from CD/DVD.
STEP 3. You will see the first Microsoft® Windows® 7 setupscreen prompting you to enter your region information.
STEP 4. Enter your location and language information then click on ‘Next’.
STEP 5. Now accept the EULA (End User License Agreement) to proceed further.
STEP 6. The two options are Upgrade and Custom Windows® 7 installation. As this is a clean install, the only one we can choose is Custom.
STEP 7. Select the hard drive partition to save Windows® system files.
STEP 8. During the setup process, your computer may reboot a couple of times, don’t “Press any key to boot from CD or DVD” when this occurs as it will slow everything down. Let the Windows reboots as normal.
STEP 9. Once the setup copies the files you will be presented with another black screen with the message, “Setup is preparing your computer for first use”.
STEP 10. The next dialog box is where you type your user and computer name. Fill all your details and click on ‘Next’. Password, enter one if you want, or leave it blank.
STEP 11. On the next screen you need to enter the serial key. Here you have two choices. You can enter the key here and allow Windows® to automatically activate once online, or ignore it and enter it later.
STEP 12. The next screen is the computer security screen where you determine whether or not to allow Windows® to automatically update itself. We suggest setting this to Use recommended settings for now. This will allow the operating system to download updates of Windows® 7 and fixes once they are available on the Internet.
STEP 13. Next enter details for time zone and network settings.
